Welcome to 'Beyond the Credits'

What is Beyond the Credits?
It's simple. Beyond the Credits consist of a few individuals who love entertainment movies. Whether domestic or foreign, old or new, color or black and white - we're here to share our stripped down critique of what we screen.  It is our pleasure to be able to express our thoughts, our desires and our emotions about these films with whoever happens to stumble on to our tiny but welcoming nook on the web.

How is this different from any other entertainment blog?
The difference is that we give a shit. We're not here to tell you what to think, or to preach, or to patronize; we're here because we want to instill thoughts, illuminate discussion and hopefully add some new perspective.

We enjoy discovering new bands and finding hidden gems within the independent film circuit. But at the same time, we also enjoy the mainstream. We're not here to make money, we're not here to set trends, all we have in mind is one unifying goal: to discuss this art that we love.

Why "Beyond the Credits?"
Watching a movie in itself is fun, but we want to do more. When that final credit rolls we don't want the experience to end. We want to share our thoughts and observations, and we know we're not the only ones who feel that way.
So what do we have to do?
The beauty is that we don't have to do anything. We already watch films on a near daily basis. We're not going to change that. We don't hold ourselves to any schedule or strenous output either.  There's truly no endgame, no tangible expectations of what this site will bring us.

The purpose of this site is to spark conversation after watching a film.  It couldn't be said any simpler.  We'll usually run down the plot, address some themes, some of the techniques and specs used in making the film, and from there it's anyone's guess where the entry leads.  In all honesty, the writing is just as much an exploration for us as it is for you.
What do you have to do?
All we ask is for you to sit back and enjoy. Take off your shoes and stay while. Also, we'd love to hear from you. Whether you agree or disagree, or want to make a recommendation, then feel free to chime in. Or don't comment at all; you're all also encouraged to simply take it in. All we're looking for is an outlet - BTC gives us just that.
